thanks guys. I had to work, but the wife and I went to the Cheese cake Fact. for dinner today. I'm working 6 days a week till New Years. Gotta love retail.

Im working 6 days a week, overnights and at walmart plus black friday was more chaos this year for my store since they tried something new
edited but that does mean alot of overtime ;D

To decrease lines and the mad rush Walmart gave out tickets to the first people in line (in each department) for the 'big' items. For instance a free TV in electronics. If they had 20 TV's they gave out 20 tickets. Everyone else who got in line or camped out was to be told that they were wasting there time because only those with tickets would get the TV's. Out here in the Valley it backfired. People camped out anyway, some tried to buy or steel tickets. Others tried to sell tickets (they were kicked out), and still other people complained that they were never informed and camped out for 8+ hours for no reason. Big snafu. At least out here.
This is what I heard from an employee on the radio.

We had nothing like that, Luckily. We really didn't have any major sales. The Apple Store down the way( in the same mall) opened on that day, but there really wasn't any mad rush. We were packed, but everything was very manageable.
